Evaluation of Social Interaction (ESI) - Install Software

Download ESI Software Now!

ESI Software is currently being developed to generate ESI reports and ESI measures. This version of the ESI software is for data entry only. It is not capable of generating reports or ESI measures. ESI course participants with an ESI software passcode may download this ESI software installation program to enter data for rater calibration purposes. If you have already installed ESI software, do not use this installer. To update an existing installation of ESI software, click Update ESI Software.

Detailed Installation Instructions
  1. When you click the download link above, you will be given a security warning. Click Save.

  2. Save the file, InstallESI2009.exe, to a location on your computer where you can find it later.

  3. Run the installer from a computer on which you are the administrator. Please contact your system administration if you have questions about permissions to install programs.

  4. Follow on-screen instructions to complete the installation procedure.

  5. Select a location from which you will run the program. The default location is C:\ however, the program may be installed to any directory in which you have full read/write permission.

  6. Ensure that the box is checked to create a desktop icon.

  7. Click Finish.

  8. Lauch the ESI software by clicking the desktop icon you created in step 6 above.

  9. Select your preferred date format and click OK. You may change your date format preferences later to one of three options:
    • MM/DD/YYYY (Month / Day / Year)
    • DD/MM/YYYY (Day / Month / Year)
    • YYYY/MM/DD (Year / Month / Day)

  10. Enter your name exactly as you would like it to appear on reports.
    Enter ESI passcode two times.
    KEEP YOUR PASSCODE CONFIDENTIAL
    Allowing others to use your passcode is a violation of national and international client confidentiality laws.
