Evaluation of Social Interaction (ESI) - Update Software

Download ESI 2009 Now!

This download will create a new installation of the ESI Computer-scoring Software Version 2009 (ESI 2009) on your computer, network drive, or USB flash drive.

Before installing ESI 2009, carefully review all instructions.

  1. Purchase ESI 2009.
    Please note that ESI Computer-scoring Software Version 2009 is a major upgrade from the no-cost version of ESI software distributed at ESI workshops prior to May 2010, ESI Data Entry Software.
    1. Visit the Online Store
    2. Click Order Now for item ESI Computer-scoring Software Version 2009
    3. Follow on-screen instructions to complete your transaction
  2. Backup exisiting ESI data.
    1. Login to your ESI data entry software using your ESI passcode.
    2. Click Backup.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to backup your data to a location (e.g., hard drive, network drive, USB flash drive, etc.) where you can find them later.
  3. Install ESI 2009.
    1. Download ESI 2009.
    2. Click Save.
    3. Save the file, InstallESI2009.exe, to a location on your computer where you can find it later.
    4. Run the installer from a computer on which you are the administrator. Please contact your system administration if you have questions about permissions to install programs.
    5. Follow on-screen instructions to compelte the installation procedure.
    6. Select a location from which you will run the program. The default location is C:\ however, the program may be installed to any directory in which you have full read/write permission.
    7. Ensure that the box is checked to create a desktop icon.
    8. Click Finish.
    9. Select your preferred date format and click OK. You may change your date format preference later to one of three options:
      • MM/DD/YYYY (Month / Day / Year)
      • DD/MM/YYYY (Day / Month / Year)
      • YYYY/MM/DD (Year / Month / Day)
    10. Enter your name exactly as you would like it to appear on reports.
    11. Enter your ESI passcode two times.
      KEEP YOUR PASSCODE CONFIDENTIAL.
      Allowing others to use your passcode is a violation of national and international client confidentiality laws.
    12. Enter the calibration code you received when you purchased ESI 2009.
  4. Import previously entered data.
    1. Login to your ESI 2009 Software using your ESI passcode.
    2. Click Import.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to locate your backup data from the location (e.g., hard drive, network drive, USB flash drive, etc.) from Step 2, above.
